A recent report has shown the demand for live chat on company websites grew 8.3% during 2017. The report, by the chat software company LiveChat features data from more than 21,000 companies that received at least one live chat from customers daily throughout 2017.
The report provides great insight in to customer behaviours and the demand for instant communication channels. For business of all sizes, finding a way to offer this communication and then respond in such a timely manner is where most struggle. Although many companies try to communicate as quickly as possible through Social Media channels this report shows the growing demand for customers wanting to do this via a companies website.
In an ideal world a business would have a dedicated customer service representative on hand ready to deal with any enquiries that arise through your websites chosen live chat software. We recognise though that for many small to medium size companies this just isn’t practical. There are ways around it though. Instant customer service (e.g. via live chat software) can be achieved by chatbots, which are completely ready to handle the most common and repeated enquiries, and don’t require any human reaction. Companies can run complex, 24/7 support with limited resources and greatly improve customers’ satisfaction and loyalty.
Are you in the market for a new website with instant chat capabilities in 2018? Delite can definitely help!
